Ogun State Hospitals' Management Board
The Ogun State Health Management Edict No. 6 of 1978 promulgated by
the Military Government in the state established
the Ogun State Hospitals Management Board.
The primary objective of the Board is the provision of effective,
qualitative and quantitative health care services to the people of the State.
The Board has 5 five health zones, controls and manages all the
40 State owned secondary health facilities.
The Board advises the Government through the Commissioner upon such
matters connected with medical or health services in the State.
The Board treats all personnel matters such as study courses,
in-service training, appointments, confirmation, promotions and
discipline of employees. The Board considers
and collates the annual estimate and budget proposals for the hospitals and the headquarters.
The Board recommend ways, means of increasing the revenue and
recommend for approval of the commissioner,
the charges or fees payable for services
provided by or on behalf of the Board.
The Board carries out any other functions or general directives
consistent with Government policy in all matters relating to
medical or health services.
