The comprehensive maternal health initiative launched by OGHMB six months ago has shown remarkable results in reducing infant and maternal mortality rates across Ogun State.
The program includes prenatal care education, skilled birth attendance, and postnatal support services. Over 2,000 expectant mothers have benefited from this program with a 40% reduction in complications during childbirth.
The initiative also provides free delivery services for low-income families and has established 15 new maternal health clinics in underserved communities.
